For the third consecutive year, the PGA TOUR Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship sports meeting returns to the country, at the Corales golf course, from September 21 to 27, 2020, within the framework of the 50th anniversary of Grupo Puntacana.

The tournament is part of the opening events of the 2020-2021 season and the only event on the PGA TOUR during that week, where 144 of the best players on this golf circuit will participate from the United States, Spain, Mexico, Sweden, Korea of the South, among other countries.

In this third edition, the event will be held without public in the field and with the most rigorous sanitary security measures. The prize pool will be $ 4 million, one million more than last year’s bag and the highest in the history of Dominican sport, the score for the FedEx Cup was increased to 500 and a place was added to the Masters for the winner.

The president and CEO of Grupo Puntacana, Frank Rainieri, affirms the importance of having a PGA TOUR in the country for the third consecutive year, “it is that since 2018 the tournament continues to position the Dominican Republic as the leading golf destination in the Caribbean. world level and, on this occasion, it will be an excellent platform to open up and promote the Punta Cana destination ”.

The live broadcasts will be Thursday, September 24 and Friday, September 25, from 3:00 p.m. at 6:00 p.m., on Golf Channel; and Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September at the same time on the NBC network. Also, there will be daily replays of the Golf Channel outside of regular hours.
