Dominican Republic / This Thursday began the construction of the new project Club Med Miches Exclusive Collection, a luxury resort that will operate under the all-inclusive segment, and which will be located on Costa Esmeralda Beach in the municipality of Miches.
The club will have 336 rooms, including six villas on the water, and will start operations in December 2019. In addition to the tourism development for Miches that means this new establishment, it will also generate hundreds of new direct and indirect jobs.
The complex will have “four unique atmospheres”, each to attend a group of specific visitors, in addition to 11 food and beverage outlets, including a main restaurant, 24-hour open-air beach bar, exclusive areas for adults and couples, as well as like 4 swimming pools, spa, children’s clubs, water and land sports and wi-fi service throughout the property.
It is the third complex of the French chain in the world with this concept.

Club Med Miches Land Next Door for sale
The presentation of the project was headed by President Danilo Medina, along with the executive vice president of Pioneer Investment Fund, Yamil Isaías; the CEO of Club Med for North America, Xavier Mufraggi; the Dominican Tourism Minister, Francisco Javier García, among other guests.
Mufraggi stressed that when investing in a destination they look for a safe and economically stable country, international airports destined to Latin America and especially to Europe, in addition to good beaches, good weather, natural riches, “political and economic leaders with vision to unify efforts “to develop new tourist regions and that the Dominican Republic “has it all”.
The initiative belongs to the Pioneer Investment Fund Management Company, through whose fund, the company acquired the land and the property of the construction company that will house the headquarters of the French hotel multinational, Club Med, in that area, as highlighted a document of the Presidency of the Republic.
Club Med is a pioneer and global leader in all-inclusive vacations focused on an exclusive market segment, present in more than 40 countries, including the first hotel in the Punta Cana area in 1979.
During the ceremony, the Minister of Tourism, Francisco Javier García, reported that last March tourism grew 14.7 %, and in the case of the American market 21.2%, which means that the sector continues to strengthen every day, to achieve the goal set by the ten million visitors in 2022.
Also, the official highlighted the impact that the tourism industry will have with the establishment of diplomatic relations with China, which he said, opens up to the Dominican Republic a range of opportunities to access the country that is the largest tourist issuer in the world, and that the last year, 140 million nationals of the Asian giant went on vacation abroad.

El club contará con 336 habitaciones, incluyendo seis villas sobre el agua, e iniciará operaciones en diciembre de 2019. Además del desarrollo turístico para Miches que significa este nuevo establecimiento, con el mismo se generará centenares de nuevos empleos directos e indirectos.
El complejo contará con “cuatro atmosferas únicas”, cada una para atender un grupo de visitantes específicos, además de 11 expendios de comidas y bebidas, incluyendo un restaurante principal, bar comedor de playa abierto 24 horas, áreas exclusivas para adultos y parejas, así como 4 piscinas, spa, clubes para niños, deportes acuáticos y terrestre y servicio wi-fi en toda la propiedad.
Se trata del tercer complejo de la cadena francesa en el mundo con este concepto.

El acto de presentación del proyecto estuvo encabezado por el presidente Danilo Medina, junto al vicepresidente ejecutivo de Pioneer Investment Fund, Yamil Isaías; el CEO de Club Med para Norteamérica, Xavier Mufraggi; el ministro de Turismo dominicano, Francisco Javier García, entre otros invitados.
Mufraggi destacó que a la hora de invertir en un destino buscan un país seguro y con estabilidad económica, aeropuertos internacionales con destino a Latinoamérica y sobre todo a Europa, además de buenas playas, buen clima, riquezas naturales, “líderes políticos y económicos con visión de unificar esfuerzos” para desarrollar nuevas regiones turísticas y que República Dominicana “Lo tiene Todo”.
La iniciativa pertenece a la Sociedad Administradora de Fondos de Inversión Pioneer, a través de cuyo fondo, la empresa adquirió los terrenos y la propiedad de la constructora que albergará la sede de la multinacional hotelera de Francia, Club Med, en esa zona, según destaca un documento de la Presidencia de la República.
Club Med es pionero y líder global en vacaciones todo incluido enfocado a un segmento de mercado exclusivo, presente en más de 40 países, incluyendo el primer hotel en la zona de Punta Cana en 1979.
Durante el acto, el ministro de Turismo, Francisco Javier García, informó que en marzo pasado el turismo creció 14.7, y en el caso del mercado americano 21.2 %, lo que significa que el sector sigue fortaleciéndose cada día, para conseguir la meta planteada de los diez millones de visitantes en el 2022.
Asimismo, el funcionario destacó el impacto que tendrá la industria turística con el establecimiento de las relaciones diplomáticas con China, lo que dijo, abre a República Dominicana un abanico de oportunidades de acceso al país que es el mayor emisor turístico del mundo, y que el pasado año,140 millones de nacionales del gigante asiático salieron de vacaciones al exterior.
