Luxury-focused event featured presentations by renowned professionals, including architect Daniel Libeskind
[SANTO DOMINGO, DISTRITO NACIONAL] (April 23, 2014) – CEO and Founder of Provaltur International Inc, an exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, recently joined an elite group of other luxury real estate specialists at a global conference at the Hotel Arts Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain. The invitation-only event hosted by Christie’s International Real Estate, the world’s leading luxury real estate network, took place April 9 and 10 and attracted more than 109 luxury real estate specialists from 31 countries.
The highlight of the conference was a presentation by celebrated architect Daniel Libeskind – the visionary behind the Jewish Museum Berlin and the reconstruction of the World Trade Center site in lower Manhattan, as well as a number of the world’s finest luxury residential developments — who led a discussion titled “Dreams That Money Can Buy.” Other highlights included a market outlook and perspectives on where the wealthy are investing offered by David Poole, President of Citi Private Bank in Europe; a look into the retail strategy of leading luxury goods manufacturer Bottega Veneta, by Christophe Luraschi, Global Training Director; and a global overview of the international art market by Marc Porter, Chairman at Christie’s Americas. The conference also included discussions on brand messaging, sales maximization strategies, cross-marketing techniques to reach feeder markets, and strategies for pursuing business in emerging markets. Christie International Real Estate also unveiled its second White Paper, an authoritative research report on the state of the luxury international real estate market.

The global conference also highlighted the significant worldwide growth of the Affiliate network. In 2013, Affiliate network sales volumes worldwide rose 30 percent, crossing $100 billion for the first time. This represented more than two and a half times the sales volume of Christie’s International Real Estate’s closest competitor. Additionally, the network expanded its international presence in 2013 through new Affiliates in many regions across the globe, brand building through marketing initiatives, a thought leadership focus, and a strengthened relationship with the Christie’s auction house.
